Polish media reported on November 18 that CEO of PKP Cargo SA, Łukasz Boroń resigned shortly after the successful debut of the rail freight operator on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. This resignation was for personal reasons.

Former Vice President, Adam Purwin will now take over CEO duties. The new head of the carrier will be selected by the extended panel of the Board.

Since yesterday, manyPolish and foreign media indicates a successful debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange first public railway company in Europe - PKP CARGO SA.

The partial privatization of the parent company, PKP SA sold its 50% stake (minus one share) of its subsidiary. The first quotation on October 30 turned out to be a big surprise, because new shares with a nominal value of 68 zł peaked at about 82 zł, which is almost 20% increase.

Congratulations on the Board and wish the whole company - the second largest freight carrier in Europe - a lot of success and continued growth.

Last week Kalin Gracian, the president of the railway operator TRAIN HUNGARIA visited the Cargo Center Arad / Curtici.

This time Railport also served as the airport, as guests arrived by helicopter.

Trade Trans, the largest rail freight forwarder in Poland - belonging to both PKP CARGO Logistics Group and Trade Trans Group - recorded changes of the Board.

On 31 August 2013 Karl Meglitsch, the Board Vice-President resigned. He was entrusted with new tasks related to the organization of cooperation between PKP CARGO and Rail Cargo Austria.

His successor in Warsaw is Eugene Tudor, who was also previously elected to the Board of PKP CARGO International in Bratislava.

On the attached photo is shown the first block train from Trieste to Romania mostly with cargo of DB Schenker which reached Cargo Center Arad/Curtici.

After the wall in the terminal in Arad was partially destroyed due to poor design, there was a plan to launch an invitation to tender for carrying out the repair work.
However, the personnel from the terminal have proposed to perform the work themselves. This initiative was implemented mainly by Timoce Alin, Marius Miclea and Ionica Cimpan.
